Straight White Teeth: What are the Options?

Straight white teeth is the aim for many people. Thankfully there are now many options available to obtain a perfect smile, but without having to cut teeth down in the process.

Many people have seen the “Ten Years Younger” type of program, where a row of white tombstone-like teeth is quickly created, usually at the expense of excessive amounts of tooth enamel being removed, all to create a quick fix for the short term. Most of this type of expensive and destructive dental cosmetic treatment will mean a future lifetime of further invasive treatments to maintain the damaged teeth. Is there an alternative?

It may take a little longer, but for the sake of a few months of invisible braces treatment, a naturally perfect white smile can be created. Systems such as the Inman Aligner, Clearstep and Invisalign can provide a fairly discreet alternative to traditional braces, at a reasonable cost and they can be removed for special occasions during treatment. Alternatively, tooth coloured fixed braces are also available, of which the so called Sixmonthsmile variant is the latest entrant to the market. With 20 years of experience in this field of orthodontics, Woodcock Lane dental care is the market leader in Stonehouse and Stroud when it comes to orthodontics!
When it comes to truly invisible braces, there is only one brace to opt for: lingual braces. These are low profile braces which are fixed onto the inside aspect of the teeth, so as to be completely invisible.
These revolutionary braces are the vary latest advance in the field of orthodontics and as word gets around, they are fast becoming first choice for many adults and children who want straight teeth quickly and invisibly.

Once straightened, most teeth will not require invasive drilling to provide veneers or crowns. Usually a minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry (MICD) approach will result in a natural white smile, often only tooth whitening and a little enamel bonding being required, hence the technique of aligning, bleaching and bonding (ABB) is becoming ever more popular. Why not ask us for a treatment plan and costing?
