Do those who wet the brush 1st, then turn off the tap, while those who wet the brush after applying the paste keep the tap running? Well who knows? Personally I wet the brush first, so that the toothpaste in the tube doesn&#8217;t get wet too, but I always turn the tap off while brushing, to preserve water. After all, in the 2 minutes we should all be brushing for, (or longer if you wear a brace or have gum disease) an awful lot of water goes down the drain if the tap is left on.<br \/>\nRemember the flood of 2007 and the water shortage which followed in much of Gloucestershire, including Gloucester and Cheltenham? With no water for over two weeks and having a family with 3 children in it, we certainly became acutely aware of how we take water supply for granted, so let&#8217;s remember to turn the tap off when brushing, especially with an imminent water shortage, apparently.<br \/>\nHappy toothbrushing!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How much water does it take to brush your teeth?
