Sympathetic Children's Dentistry

Stonehouse Children's Dentist - Woodcock Lane Dental Care, Gloucestershire

We are able to provide NHS dental care for children under the age of 18 years old or aged 18 and in full time education. Most treatments, including orthodontics (braces) are available on the NHS.

We always use good quality materials for our NHS dental care and tooth coloured fillings are usually used where needed. Protective coatings for back teeth are routinely used, when indicated, free of charge.

We genuinely care about tending to children’s dental health and give special attention to the needs of children. We have provided a purpose built playroom with toys and children’s magazines and give incentives and rewards if children achieve a good standard of dental hygiene, to help motivate them.

We can advise both children and parents/carers how correct cleaning and a sensible diet can keep gums healthy and prevent tooth decay.

Our dentists will carefully monitor the development of teeth, helping to identify issues which may not be a problem now, but may be of concern in the future. With careful early intervention many future problems can be avoided.

The dental health unit, run by our hygienists and oral health educators, has a variety of games, puzzles and experiments to help reinforce the message of preventing dental disease, with perfect oral health being our aim. We spend quality time with children and parents/carers to help children learn about the importance of healthy teeth and gums.
