We Welcome New Patients to our Gloucestershire Dental Practice
We welcome new patients and their families to our practice. Adults will be seen privately, but children under the age of 18 years old, or aged 18 and in full-time education may be seen as N.H.S. patients if desired.
Your new patient journey will start with our friendly front reception desk team taking a few personal details to set up some records for you. We would then normally book an appointment for you to meet your dentist, and for them to carry out an extensive first examination. We will provide you with an information pack enclosing a questionnaire which allows us to know what you expect from us, and how we may help you.
The extensive examination includes checking your general medical status, charting the current condition of your teeth and gums, a smile assessment, recording any problems, examining the lips, cheeks, tongue etc for any problems (including mouth cancer) and taking any necessary x-rays. We will then discuss your oral health and any treatment recommended with you, including any cosmetic dental treatment you would like to know more about.
When you return to reception a proposed / recommended treatment plan will be printed out for you. Any further appointments that are required can be arranged to suit your time schedule.
